WELCOME

Welcome to the CESA 7 License Renewal Support Center!  It is our goal to provide you with the latest information and training related to PI34 and educator license renewal.

License Renewal Support Centers were established by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to primarily provide assistance to any educators who:

  • are not employed by school districts, 
  • wish to use the professional development plan (PDP) process to renew a license in 2006, 2007, or 2008 or
  • wish to use the LRSC independently as they pursue license renewal.

Centers will provide services related to PI 34 and educator licensing including:

  • Identification and training for initial educator teams in all three categories of teacher, pupil service, and administrator
  • Identification and training of mentors.  Facilitation of ongoing orientation and support seminars based on the Wisconsin educator standards for initial educators not employed by a local public school district (can also be used by public school district employees)
  • Assist in creation of professional development plans
  • Management of the professional development review process
  • Train cohorts of professional educators using the state required PDP model in the three categories of teacher, pupil service, and administrators
  • Provide a location for initial and professional educators to meet with professional development teams
  • Collaboration with regional partners to deliver necessary services
  • Carry out other activities as requested by the Department of Public Instruction
